Can innovative policies and regulations reverse the trend of groundwater depletion?

A three-year USAID-funded project on ‘Groundwater Governance in the Arab Region: Taking Stock and Addressing the Challenges’ implemented by IWMI and national partners across the Middle East-Northern Africa region investigated just that. Highlighted in a synthesis piece on the WLE Thrive Blog are five wicked problems that prevent the MENA region from properly addressing groundwater issues, in addition to some potential solutions.
