This is to update you on the latest and upcoming events that GRIPP are involved in.
- GRIPP was represented through RWSN and AGW-Net at the International Conference on Geology, Mining, Mineral and Groundwater Resources of the Sub-Saharan Africa, which was held in Livingstone, Zambia, in July 2017. UPGro and RWSN were invited by the University of Zambia to run a special session on hydrogeology in Africa. See coverage here
- This year’s WEDC Conference in Loughborough had a special session on Africa Rocks!, and many relevant programs and partners presented on the latest progress on UPGro research, the new UNICEF Guidance on professional Water Well Drilling, and Africa-wide mapping. One of the issues highlighted as key for future development and sustainability of groundwater was solar pumping. See coverage here.
- GRIPP will hold its next Open Partner Meeting at the 44th IAH 2017 Congress in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on September 28, 2017 (Thursday) (17:00-18:00 hrs).
