The Southern African Development Community – Groundwater Management Institute (SADC-GMI) is announcing the call for abstracts for its 2nd Annual Groundwater Conference, to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, 04-06 Sep, 2019 under the theme ‘Groundwater Contribution to SDGs in the SADC Region’.
GRIPP is supporting SADC-GMI in the organization of the conference with key GRIPP partners involved: International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre (IGRAC), International Water Management Institute (IWMI), and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – International Hydrological Programme (UNESCO-IHP). The Government partner from South Africa is the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), while the Institute for Groundwater Studies (IGS) at the University of the Free State is providing further leverage to the conference.
